History
There is no other horse that leaves such an unforgettable impression as the noble Akhal-Teke. With its smooth, gliding trot and ground-lining gallop, no other horse has the unique combination of long elegant lines with such overtly expressive signs of strength and energy.

Legend has it that many hundreds of years ago, a golden-bay Akhal-Teke stallion named Akhale was deemed unbeatable in any race. Akhale was challenged to race against a falcon. Many thousands of people gathered from around the world to witness this unique competition. They watched as the stallion and the falcon started from the top of a hill and to their amazement the golden-bay stallion flew like an arrow, leaving the falcon far behind. Since that time, Akhal-Teke stallions are often given the names of birds.
